Pam’s growing guide

Simple advice for healthier palms.

Whether you are planting one palm at home or managing a full resort landscape, good preparation makes all the difference.

1

Choose the right location

Check sunlight, space, overhead wires, drainage and salt exposure before planting.

2

Prepare the hole properly

Dig wide enough for the root ball and avoid planting the palm deeper than it was in its container.

3

Water deeply

New palms need steady moisture while establishing, but roots should not sit in water.

4

Feed carefully

Use suitable palm fertiliser and follow instructions rather than overfeeding.
